The smallest city in Denmark, Aarhus is situated in the centre of the Jutland Peninsula. It has a lively music and entertainment scene, and also boasts great beaches, tree-lined streets of half-timbered houses and stunning sites and events, such as the cathedral, Marselisborg Forest, 200-year-old Prehistoric Museum of Moesgard and the Aarhus Festival week.
During summer, the streets are packed with people making the most of the long evenings - through to the early hours.
